Opus is a documentation tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations. The treating surgeon remains solely responsible for patient care and for the official clinical record.
These terms are an agreement between you and Dr Mateusz Gladysz, New Zealand (“we”, “us”), the provider of Opus. By creating an account or using Opus you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Opus.
Opus is intended for registered medical practitioners and doctors in training. Any professional details you add, such as registration numbers, must be your own and accurate.
Codes, classifications and staging shown in Opus are derived from what you enter, to help you document consistently. They are not advice. Clinical terminologies and classifications remain the property of their owners.
Your data remains yours. We process it only to provide Opus, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Your logbook is stored on your phone and is not backed up by us. You can make encrypted backups yourself (Settings → Backup & Restore); keeping the backup file and its Recovery Key safe is your responsibility. A backup cannot be opened without its Recovery Key, and we cannot recover a lost key for you. If you lose the phone or delete the app without a backup or an export, the logbook is lost. Back up regularly.
Do not impersonate anyone, add people to your team list who you do not work with, share cases with people outside the care team, attempt to access other users’ data, interfere with the service, or copy or reverse-engineer the app except as the law allows.
We may change or discontinue features. We will tell you in the app or by email before material changes to these terms take effect. Opus may occasionally be unavailable; features that work offline keep working.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or clinical outcomes and decisions, and Opus is provided “as is”. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand), the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
